Shipping policy

This page explains how we pack and ship orders, which carriers we use, handling time, how rates are calculated, tracking, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Where we ship

We currently ship within Japan only (all prefectures). International shipping is not available at this time.

Packaging & Protection

  • Items are protected with outer box reinforcement and cushioning (bubble wrap, etc.). Fragile items are double-boxed whenever practical.
  • For pre-owned kits, we keep inner bags intact and add fillers to prevent parts from moving.
  • We may reuse clean packing materials to reduce waste.

Handling time

  • Orders ship in 1–3 business days (online payments: after order confirmation; bank/post transfers: after funds clear).
  • Closed: Sundays & Mondays (no shipping or support). Lead times may extend after holidays.

Methods & Rates

  • Japan Post Yu-Packet (¥450 flat): small/thin parcels; delivered to mailbox; trackable. If size/weight exceeds limits, we switch to another method.
  • Letter Pack Plus (¥600 flat): hand-to-hand delivery; trackable; subject to weight/size limits.
  • Yu-Pack (zone-based): used for larger, heavier, or fragile shipments.
  • Free shipping on orders of ¥10,000 (tax incl.) or more (same order & destination).
  • The final method and price are shown in your cart/checkout.

Tracking & Delivery

  • We email your tracking number when the order ships.
  • Typical delivery is 1–3 days after dispatch, but may vary due to weather, traffic, or busy seasons.
  • If a parcel is returned due to long absence or address issues, re-shipping charges may apply.

Damaged, wrong, or missing items

Please email us within 7 days of delivery at support@205hobbies.com with photos of the shipping label on the box, packing, contents, and the issue. Keep the outer carton and packing materials for carrier inspection if needed. After review we’ll arrange exchange, missing parts, or a refund (if the same item is unavailable, we may offer an equivalent item or a refund).

Combining items & partial shipments

  • We combine items from the same order whenever possible. If size/weight requires multiple boxes, we’ll let you know in advance.

Address changes

  • Before shipment: contact us as soon as possible.
  • After shipment: carrier redirection fees, if any, may be charged to the recipient.

International shipping

At the moment we ship domestically only. If you need international shipping, please contact us so we can assess feasibility and timing.
